Rachie's

Hello~

I went to Rachie's yesterday. Kosa drove me, Charlie, Jae and Becca. It didn't take as long as I thought it would to get there. Also, her place is really nice! Even though it's in the middle of nowhere, it's right beside a Walmart, so it's actually pretty convenient. Haha, there were corn fields everywhere on the way there!

We ended up staying over so it was a little cramped, we squeezed like six people in Rachel's room and everyone else stayed in the living room. The hot pot was yummy~ even though it was mostly meat, lol, I really can't cook chicken! I ate like three semi-cooked pieces so I'm very grateful I didn't get indigestion as a result afterwards.

Kk, I'm off~

Lee's Update

Hello~

Okay, so I know I'm totally guilty of not blogging for the LONGEST time. However, I believe that... -_-; Fine. I have no excuse.
Hehe, my apologies Becca!!!

Hm, how have I been lately? Not bad, I suppose. Living in Toronto again was difficult, I recall me and Jae getting into several fights, but we're better now. We're pretty good at working things out <3 and that makes me really happy. I know we fight over stupid things, but somehow I guess we manage to pull through. I love you~

I hate this part

Hello to whomever reads this!

Haha... I hate the fact that i've been forgetting all about the blog. It's summer, can you blame me? There just isn't a Lee behind me to tell me that I need to post!

So here's a quick update post:
- Had a job
- Quit that job
- Have another job
- Want more hours so looking for a second job

How awesome is that?

Something interesting happened to me today though; which is what is pushing me towards posting something today. About 2 weeks ago I walked into a Caffe Demetre because outside it said that they were hiring. Had an interview and the manager said that they liked me but had to make sure I can serve alcohol at 18. So I called back today because I hadn't heard back from him.

"Hi, my name's Rebecca Lam. Can I speak to the manager please?"

"Speaking"

"I came in about 2 weeks ago and you said you had to look up if I could serve alcohol at 18..."

"We don't serve alcohol here"

"This is the Eglinton location right?"

"Yes"

"I talked to this east-indian man..."

"I'm sorry but I don't know who you're talking about"


... What the?!

Who did I talk to?!

Manatoulin Island

“Let’s go” he whispered devilishly as he pressed down on the gas and then she shrieked laughingly as he sped on the highway into the night.

At least that’s what I recalled as I was falling asleep.

It’s currently the night of the first day here on Manatoulin island. An island in lake Huron. My mom and I are staying at Jeorg’s parent’s place on the island. There are 3 cabins in which we are staying in one (with a sauna we are yet to try.) We arrived late last night (something like 4am) and are staying until Monday… I don’t know exactly yet but I’m hoping early because I want to find some people and do something. Not that I’m not enjoying myself here.

I slept with baxter in my room last night and it was really quite difficult to fall asleep because firstly: I slept for most of the 6 hour car ride… except for the times we stopped at Tim Horton’s when I was awake for a minute or two… as well as Baxter howling once in a while about something… /:

Woke up hours later than my mom and walked to the main cottage and had a delightful breakfast with Mrs. H who made me some scrambled eggs. (: had some homemade toasted dark bread with some homemade black currant jam… to die for!

Other than touring around the area: garden, beach, and general wide open; beautiful forested space there was just talking alllllll day. I was a bit timid earlier on today in front of Mr. and Mrs. H but I’ve opened up to them more as well as their amazing daschund Blackie! I love her! <3 Over dinner Mr. and Mrs. H were talking about a friend? Of theirs that has this wonderful relationship with her partner. Just listening about how they are mature in their relationship has opened my eyes.

It’s not that late but I’m tired, I’m going to head off to bed. I hope there aren’t too many bugs tonight lol.

I’m currently typing this up in word on the plane ride back to … Montreal and then to Toronto but that’s not the point. The point is that my lovely vacation to Paris has ended and I’m being shipped back to Canada for some job searching. >: Now I know I haven’t been posting too much, it’s just cause I’m so tired when we get back to the apartment at the end of the day I just tend to forget about it. So I’m just going to start from where I left off last.

I don’t think I’m forgetting anything? How about I blab about today?

Today was a bunch of last minute packing, not that we didn’t pack yesterday but just a few little things. Mommy and I took the RER while both of my aunts took a taxi. My luggage got stuck in between one of the doors where they take the tickets and two guys had to help pull the doors open to save my luggage! I hope nothing got crushed in there. Because we woke up early I was dead tired through check-in at the airport and well, tried to take a nap in here but with not very good luck. So here I am typing up this… I’ll continue once I get back home or something. We have to rush to the plane in Montreal to Toronto when we land.

Sunny with a Chance of Freezing Cold!

Bleh,

Today I woke up exhausted cause I just couldn't go to sleep. But this morning we got some great croissants and pain du chocolat from Poilane just down the street. Window shopped a bit and went on our way to the Notre Dame Cathedral... It was FREEZING and windy and cold and sad. >: It was very nice inside and we ended up going up the tower... more stairs.

We had sandwiches in the square in front of the cathedral and some pigeons got so close because of some tourist throwing bread at them. This one poor one had a deformed foot. ): We then ventured our way to Sainte-Chapelle which was a church from the medieval times with some beautiful windows. (:

On our way home I bought some shoes and some souvenirs for people. I'm looking for a skirt and another pair of shoes maybe? <3

My aunties and mommy are having a tad of trouble with the t.v. I wonder if I can get it to work.
